The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program issued 98 invitations to Skills Immigration, Express Entry and Entrepreneur candidates. Out of 98 invitations 70 invitations were issued under BC PNP’s Tech Pilot for Skilled Workers and Foreign Graduates who should have Job offers in any applicable tech occupations.
A minimum score of 90 was the cut-off for each category for every candidate.
A tech pilots are responded to the labour needs in British Columbia tech sector. From the starting of this year 2019 there were total of 848 invitations issued to qualified applicants through the tech-pilot. BC PNP Tech Pilot candidates are not required to demonstrate an indeterminate, full-time job offer, a requirement that applies to most other BC PNP Immigration categories. Candidate should also have a job offer that will be for one year duration and have at least 120 calendar days remaining at the time of applying for a provincial nomination.
The other 28 invitations were issued to candidates in the Entrepreneur Immigration.
In the Entrepreneur Immigration Base Category 22 invitations were sent to candidates whose score was as low to 114. The Base category is for senior managers or owner of business who plan to expand their business in BC. The other 6 invitations were sent to candidate with low score as 111 through the Entrepreneur Immigration-Regional Pilot Stream, which is shown to attract businesses to smaller, regional communities in BC.
