Ontario Invites 1600+ candidates, with CRS low to 439 for First Tech Draws.

On July 12, Ontario conducted its first Tech Draw for more than 1600 express entity candidates who are having work experience; they can apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian PR. 

The candidates who are invited had Express Entry CRS score in between 439 to 459 and their profiles of Express Entry were created between July 2018 to July 2019

In Canada Ontario is home for many Canada’s major tech hubs most of them are in cities of Toronto, Ottawa & Waterloo.

First step: Get in the Express Entry pool
If a candidate wants to consider for Ontario Tech Draw invitation, he must have a profile registered under the Federal Skilled Worker Class or Canadian Experience Class. This both classes are managed by the federal Express Entry System.

OINP Tech Draws are taken from the province’s Human Capital Priorities Immigration Stream, which allow candidates to search for Federal Express Entry Pool who meets the eligible requirements.

British Columbia Invitation Tech Pilot Program draw for 73 Skills Immigration-Express Entry candidates

On July 16th 2019, British Columbia invited 73 candidates with skills immigration and express entry. They invited to apply for a provincial nomination in a new Tech Pilot draw. This nomination is the second largest nominations issued this year.

It was issued for the program called British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP).

Tech Talent BC Report

The BC PNP was created after the 2016 TechTalentBC Report and was launched in 2017. It was created for encouraging more skilled tech workers which were needed by the companies in different sectors.

It is designed to provide a fast track process to PR for international talent with a job offer for a year from British Columbia employer in technology field.

As they are invited under the Express Entry British Columbia streams they are approved for provincial nomination and receive additional 600 Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points for their profile.

Express Entry Draw #121: Invited 3600 candidates with min. CRS 460

Canada invited 3,600 candidates with minimum CRS score 460 through Express Entry Draw#121 for Canadian Permanent Residence held on July 10, 2019. This draw is the most invitations issued in a single draw since January 23.

The cut off score in this Express Entry Draw is 460 which is lower than the previous draw, which was 462. The cut off score decreased consecutively third time from 470 onwards to 465,462 and now it’s 460.

Express Entry System is the main source of Skilled Foreign Workers to migrate to Canada. Express Entry System manages the pool of three main economic-class immigration categories of Canada; they are Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class and Canadian Experience Class. Express Entry system also manages a portion of Canada Provincial Nominee Program, which has higher targets for 2019 and 2020.

Eligible candidates who cover under these three categories can enter into Express Entry Pool, Where there rank is based on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. CRS score is based on the factors age, education, work experience, and proficiency in English

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada gave 60 days time to apply for Permanent Residence for this draw and has a processing standard of six months for Express Entry applications.

Highest ranked candidates get Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian Permanent Residence. Candidates get ITA’s through regular draws from the pool, which typically happening for every two weeks.

Manitoba issued 354 invitations to apply for Permanent Residence

On July 5, Manitoba issued 354 invitations to apply for Permanent Residence under Provincial Nomination Program.

Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program(MPNP) issuing invitations, known as Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs), went to candidates in the Skilled Workers Overseas, Skilled Workers in Manitoba, and International Education Streams.

The MPNP allows nominating foreign workers and international graduates in the post secondary institutions for Canadian Permanent Residence.

LAAs distribution among three streams:

  • Skilled Workers Overseas Stream: 248
  • Skilled Workers in Manitoba Stream: 85
  • International Education Stream: 21

Out of 354, 91 LAAs went to candidates with a valid profile in the federal Express Entry System.

Express Entry manages the pool of candidates for three of Canada’s main economic-class immigration programs; the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trade Class and Canadian Experience Class. It is the Canada’s principal source of high skilled foreign talent.

Express Entry candidates with Provincial Nomination Program gets additional 600 points to their CRS ranking score, which guarantees to apply for Permanent Residence.

Express Entry candidates should create a separate Expression of Interest (EOI) profile with MPNP and meet the requirements that include six months of recent experience in an occupation listed as demand in Manitoba in order to be considered for MPNP.

Completion of EOI is the first step for MPNP Skilled Worker sub-streams and requires information related to education, work experience, proficiency in English or French and connections to Manitoba and awarded score based on their answers.

Candidates with highest score get invitation through regular draws from Manitoba’s EOI pool.

The minimum score required for a LAAs in July 5 draw is:

  • Skilled Workers Overseas: 594
  • Skilled Workers in Manitoba: 565
  • Skilled Workers Overseas: Strategic Recruitment Initiative Candidates: 619

42 Invitations to Apply for Tech Pilot draw held by British Columbia on July 2

British Columbia introduced a provincial nominee program to recruit and retain skilled workers and satisfy the demand for talent in 29 occupations in the technology sector.

The new draw which is held on July 2 invited 42 invitations to apply for tech pilot and the minimum score is 90.

The invitations which are issued on July 2 went to the candidates registered in Express Entry BC and Skills Immigration in which there are four categories as follows:

  1. EEBC – Skilled Worker
  2. EEBC – International Graduate
  3. SI – Skilled Workers
  4. SI – International Graduate

The July 2 draw was seventh consecutive draw with a minimum score of 90 in each of the above four categories.

The Tech Pilot is eligible to registrants must:

  • Be for one of the 29 eligible occupations under the BC PNP Tech Pilot
  • Be at least one year in duration (365 days)
  • Have 120 days calendar days remaining at the time of application

The candidate who got approved for British Columbia provincial nomination will receive an additional 600 Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points toward their express entry profile under the stream Express Entry BC and Skilled Immigration.

The Number of ITA’s issued is 42 for altogether to EEBC – Skilled Workers and International Graduate SI – Skilled Workers and International Graduates.

British Columbia Issued 57 Invitations to Apply for Tech Pilot draw on 25th June 2019

Tech Pilot was introduced by British Columbia to address labor needs and the draw which is held on June 25 by British Columbia issued 57 invitations to apply for Tech Pilot through British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program.

BC PNP events specially focused on the technology sector it helps in the province recruit and retains foreign talent in 29 In-demand occupations in the technology sector.

The 57 invitations were distributed among the skilled immigration and express entry British Columbia streams. The applicant under BC PNP Tech Pilot is required to have a one-year full-time valid job offer with at least 120 days remaining at the time of application.

There are four categories that are targeted for BC PNP draw with a minimum score of 90.

The Categories Are As Follows:

  • Express Entry British Columbia- Skilled Workers
  • Express Entry British Columbia- International Graduate
  • Skilled Immigration- Skilled Workers
  • Skilled Immigration- International Graduate

Every week, the BC PNP will conduct a tech draw to invite the highest scoring technology sector registrants to apply.

The draw which is held on June 25 is a sixth consecutive draw with minimum score and the scores are based on the information provided by the candidate when registering with BC PNP, this is the first step required for the Skilled Immigration and Express Entry streams.

BC PNP will process the application on a priority basis and if it is approved the applicant receives nomination that can be used to apply for permanence residence.

The evaluation of candidates for the Skilled Immigration Registration System is done through factors like education, work experience, and proficiency in English or French.

Manitoba: Issued 450 Invitations for International Graduates, Skilled Workers in Overseas and Manitoba

The draw which is held on June 20 invited 450 Immigrant candidates to apply for a Provincial Nomination for Canadian residence in an Expression of Interest.

The Letter of Advice to Apply (LAA) are going to candidates:

  • Skilled Workers Overseas: 323
  • Skilled Workers Manitoba: 101
  • International Educational Stream: 26

Three streams of Skilled Workers Overseas, Skilled Workers Manitoba and International Educational Stream are part of Manitoba Provincial Nomination.

Expression of Interest draw on June 20 invited 133 Express Entry Candidates:

The draw invited 133 Express Entry candidates went to candidates of Federal Express Entry System with a job seeker validation code and experience in a Manitoba’s Occupation In-demand list and the candidate who receives provincial nomination will get additional of 600 points towards there CRS score and which effectively guaranteeing an invitation to apply for Canadian Permanence Residence.

The criteria for the other Skilled Workers Overseas who receive LAA are:

  • Should have a close relative residing in Manitoba or past education or work experience in Manitoba.
  • Should have at least 6 months of recent experience in the Occupation In-demand list of Manitoba.
  • Minimum language proficiency of CLB/NCLC 5 or a compulsory trade CLB/NCLC6.

Prince Edward Island PNP Latest DRAW 2019 Issued 113 Invitations

The draw which is held on June 20 in categories of labor and business impact immigration invited 113 candidates as express entry by Prince Edward Island.

Prince Edward Island holds monthly invitation rounds for immigration and the candidate who got invited through express entry oy labor can apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian permanence residence.

A new draw which is held on June 20 by Saskatchewan province with work experience in one of five targeted occupations invites 479 invitations for the immigration of skilled workers.

The five targeted occupations on June 20 are as follows:

A total of 479, 268 invitations went to candidates with a profile in the Federal Express Entry System and 211 invitations went to immigration candidates in the SINP’s Occupation In-Demand subcategory.

The first required step is to register Expression of Interest to be considered as provincial nomination with Saskatchewan.

It requires separate Expression of Interest for Express Entry candidates in which through factors like education, work experience, proficiency in English or French and awards the points out of 100 according to the information provided.

The highest score candidates of both Express Entry and Occupation In-Demand are invited to apply for provincial nomination.

The candidate of Express Entry who receives a provincial nomination from Saskatchewan will get an additional 600 points towards their ranking score and are invited to apply for Canadian Permanent Residence.
