Ontario Invites 1,773 candidates, with CRS low to 435 for Second Tech Draws.

On August 1st, Ontario conducted its Second Tech Draw for more than 1,773 express entity candidates who are having work experience; they can apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian PR. 

The candidates who are invited had Express Entry CRS score in between 435 and their profiles of Express Entry.

In Canada Ontario is home for many Canada’s major tech hubs most of them are in cities of Toronto, Ottawa & Waterloo.

First step: Get in the Express Entry pool
If a candidate wants to consider for Ontario Tech Draw invitation, he must have a profile registered under the Federal Skilled Worker Class or Canadian Experience Class. This both classes are managed by the federal Express Entry System.

OINP Tech Draws are taken from the province’s Human Capital Priorities Immigration Stream, which allow candidates to search for Federal Express Entry Pool who meets the eligible requirements.

The candidate should have minimum 6 month to 1 year experience in any tech occupation

The following 6 are the Tech Draws occupation.

  • Software engineers and designers (NOC 2173)
  • Computer programmers and interactive media developers (NOC 2174)
  • Computer engineers (NOC 2147)
  • Web designers and developers (NOC 2175)
  • Database analysts and data administrators (NOC 2172)
  • Computer and information systems managers (NOC 0213)

What is NOC?
NOC stands for National Occupational Classification, which explains about an occupation’s skill level and skill type.
