The Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program (AIPP) of Canada extended the validity of its program. It was introduced in 2017 with a plan that will last 3 years. Now, this continues until December 2021. The federal government declares this as an impulse to continue with the program. AIPP helps solve the labor market shortage in the four provinces of the Atlantic:

  • New Scotland

Employers can select qualified candidates through the Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program. International students graduated from universities and colleges are also having opportunities to move with AIPP.

How is the Atlantic Immigration pilot program for skilled candidates?

Immigration, refugees and citizens of Canada have made a statistical report. Accordingly, 1,986 employers in the Atlantic region offered 3,729 jobs until today. In addition, 2,535 applicants received their public relations from Canada and emigrated with their families.

The demand of the Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program has caused the IRCC to expand its assignments and admissions. Nearly 500 places increased their arrivals of immigrants with the AIPP.

IRCC Minister Ahmed Hussen explained that this extension would help to explore more. The Canadian government and the Atlantic Provinces can get more qualified people. In addition, it adds the success story of the AIPP. Since its inception in 2017, AIPP served the best to find qualified candidates. The program helped the provinces meet their needs in the labor market.

Not only had the extension, the government of Canada even made some changes. International graduates now have more 2 years after graduation to apply for the Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program.

With the changes made, Canada aims to find qualified candidates. Opportunities for candidates to establish themselves as permanent residents of Canada increase. Planning to become a Canada PR in 2019? So, feel free to talk to our visa experts.
